Sounds like a traumatic time for both of you. MS is a very individual illness and there are many people who do not take medication. It can be difficult to sit on the sidelines. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t shout and cheer. I’m sure your thoughts and feelings are important to your partner. MS is a scary diagnosis for people and their families. This is a bit of a cliche, but communication is key. It may take multiple attempts. Showing that you care, not disagree may be helpful. Relationships are hard, and even harder with a long term condition. All the best.
