Hello again! Rant, Scottish Health System and a 'Care Basket'

Hello to all my fellow MS'ers. It has been quite some time since I last posted on Shift however I have updates on my MS Journey so far. Let's began. I had received my letter (finally after a year) to visit the neurologist department. Yesterday I made my way to the hospital to meet with one of the neuro doctors. We sat down and discussed my MS (Relapsing and Remitting). Despite him being very serious on the matter I couldn't help but keep upbeat and do my best to have a laugh. He would then go in to detail about my next appointment which would be meeting between myself and the MS nurses. I hope not to kept in as I usually encounter anxiety when staying in Hospitals and need to be sedated to an extent. I would then have blood samples taken to be test and further investigated into which I do will help in giving me more closure with my MS and gain a better understanding the progress of it. As always I'm terrified to the core about the possibility of being anything but 'Normal'. My issue has always been accepting that there is nothing wrong with myself, instead of taking the reality of the problem. Doctors have this bare way of wording or delivering various news and so plays into overthinking anxiety ridden thoughts. I have no certain idea of how long it will take to hear back. It could be weeks, months and with the issues surrounding the NHS especially with strikes until I hear back on this matter. Until then I am putting together a 'care basket' for donations for myself to get private health care to have this seen to more quickly (a joke although I have considered it). Until I get my test results it is just business as usual with myself now a Health & Safety representative for my work (ironic considering because of my balance I'm usually the one who is involved in the incident lol). Until then I wish everyone in the community a very Happy New Year and hope that 2023 holds a lot of joy for everyone. P.S We are the strongest cookies! Yours truly, James x

@Jboy182 Hi going into see your ms nurse won't lead to a stay in the hospital it'll be a chat about you and how they can help you if needed, you might have your bloods taken just a couple of tiny bottles. They might explain what treatment is suitable for you we're all different. You'll breeze it don't worry.
