50 years old living with MS

Hello, this is my first post on this website so here goes, had symptoms in my late 20's, it was just heavy legs as if I was walking through treacle. Wasn't nice at all so went to doctors and was told it was just age. Being absolutely flabbergasted by such a ludicrous diagnoses I went to see a different doctor who instantly did all the tests he could do and then sent me for an MRI. He didn't say why but he just wanted to check a few things out . Anyway I went for the MRI and it came back with 4 patches of scar tissue on my brain and I was diagnosed with MS relapsing/ remitting and thats the only information I ever got from that new doctor. After that I just went about my days as normal as I could . I had to leave my job because it was as a steel erector ( climbing around steel 100ft up) couldn't do that anymore S I was getting really dizzy just looking up when I was on the ground .fast forward 20 years to now and I live alone in my flat, Inkw have progressive MS which means I will only get worse but I walk with stick and have done for 6 years now but I recently as in the last week that you can actually retrain the brain to walk again using neuroplasticity so that's my main aim over the next ( how ever long it takes) I can still drive ok and I still go to the gym 4x a week to keep my strength up. Bit of a long message but I missed a lot out so if you would like to know anything from diagnoses to today just ask 😉

Hello Graham, could you tell me what neuroplasticity involves. I have progressive MS and have trouble walking, does this help? Thanks Nathalie
