Hi everyone! My first post on here! I found this website through a random ad or post etc. A little about me.. erm I’m from Nottingham. I was diagnosed with MS in 2004, aged 15. I had a lot of “oh so young!” “You sure it’s ms?” “You’d outgrow it!” “Are you gonna die in your 40s?!” Etc Being young I had no one my age to talk to. My depression went to an all time low, which again was blamed on my age. Someone I met randomly in a wheelchair at hospital said to me “make the most of your legs!” Which at the time I didn’t understand why he would say that, but now I’m 33 with mobility issues I finally understand him! I’m married now with 2 girls, 6 & 4. They don’t understand what MS is but all they tell teachers, friends etc if they see me in a wheelchair is “mummy’s legs don’t work properly” which works for me xD Sorry about the bio, just wanted to say hi!

Hi Emzibabe! I'm fairly new here too, only diagnosed last year, just before my 40th birthday 🥳 I found this site after some trial and error on other ms communities which were a bit more down beat than this one! Feel free to chat any time! Soph

Hi Soph, I was diagnosed at 24 with sensory disturbance and assumed they had it wrong until few episodes of optic neuritis later has left me on verge of being partially sighted. Since then nothing except now SPMS but hate playing this waiting game waiting for something to happen maybe need to make most of every day and thank goodness still mobile
