Side effects of Avonex

Just wondering if anyone has any information about taking Avonex and hypothyroidism?Does Avonex effect the Liver function? Just trying to find out because I think I read somewhere that regular blood tests are needed to check Liver and Thyroid. I am going to check with my nurse, but just wondering if anyone had any insight? Many thanks 🙏.

@Clary I had both, I was on Avonex and I have an underactive thyroid. Stopped the Avonex and moved onto Gilenya. Nothing was brought to my notice about my liver. Liver enzymes can become elevated while taking Avonex. This can, in turn, affect your cholesterol. Not sure how this affects an underactive thyroid. I have an annual blood test at my local GP which checks everything, and then another for my MS when I go for my annual chat with my MS nurse.
