MRI results.

Hey everyone. I hope you are all alright. I have been looking through my medical records today for something else and I came across the results from my latest MRI scan. Which I did not know we're available yet. It says that I have more lesions in both my brain and my spinal cord than I did on my last MRI scan. I have got an appointment with My MS nurse in a month's time and hoping to get a phone appointment as soon as possible to try and put my mind at ease a little bit. I'm feeling really lost and lonely at the moment and feel like it's always bad news. I'm trying my best to stay positive but it is a massive struggle right now. Xx

Hi Becky - sorry, I know it's scary to know that your MS is active even if you feel ok otherwise. Your profile says you're not on treatment - maybe this is an opportunity to discuss that with your MS nurse or neurologist so you start seeing more stability in your scans coming up? Remember there's something called a clinico-radiological paradox with MS. The number of lesions you have really doesn't correspond to what your outcome is. You're doing great - you've found this information, assimilated it and have already made plans to discuss it with your healthcare team. Hope you get some concrete answers for moving forward.

Hi. I haven't been feeling great lately so that is probably the explanation for that. I had a relapse at the beginning of the year which is why I got sent for another MRI. Thank you for your positive words and support. It really does give a little bit of comfort.
