How to earn more

So, since a severe relapse that took my ability work my occupation and going on disability it’s been tough. Husbands job hrs changed and half of his income is gone in addition to the reduction in my earnings. We have made adjustments, moved selling my dream home to go into something more affordable, counting pennies ect. Just having a semi freak out moment and I’m trying to keep a cool head as I don’t want to stress out. I know I cannot work sadly, but it would really help to make some money. Mentally as well as it is terrible not feeling productive. I keep getting told by my husband not to do anything that will take my Ssdi check away because I never know when i am not able to show up so it would be hurting our money.

I can sympathise with your feelings, @Awendell . Unfortunately, our life's journey has not been straightforward, but whose life is straightforward? Nobody can predict the twists and turns that we have to navigate.. MS isn't our fault. We didn't ask for it and we didn't go looking for it. It's just very unfortunate that it can impact our professional lives, which, in turn, can impact our finances. We have to try and re-work, restructure, as you have done. but we still need a purpose, to replace our professional persona. We need to fill that void! Is there not some local voluntary work that would provide a sense of purpose, be flexible to the vagaries of your MS and not affect your SSDI?
