Swatting MS with a stick!

Hi friends. It’s been a while since I posted so I’ll give you a quick run down. I went off all ms meds in sept of last year due to having a 1 in 100 chance of contracting PML. Then in december I had a flair up that had me in bed until march. It was horrific to say the least. So in march I started my first ocrevus treatment. I had a moderate to serious allergic reaction that sent me to the emergency room. Such is life in the MS world right? I’m due to get my next ocrevus treatment (with extra week of steroids and benedryl) next month and guess what? You guessed it a family member just tested positive for corona virus. FML right? Kidding I’m staying positive. I can get tested on friday but I’m not worried. The last 12 months has been a challenge but I’m keeping my head up, a smile on my face and love in my heart. Be well friends and carry a big stick.

Hi @pinkcandystick, you’ve had a bit of a rough ride eh? You have a great attitude though which will get you a long way! Hope it’s easier with Ocrevus this time 🙂

I hope so also vixen. I like the results of the ocrevus but not the infusion itself. They doubled up on the steroids and benadryl before starting then doubled it again afteri wes a couple hours from finishing and then again at the end. I went home and 2 hours later I went to the emergency room for additional steroids and benadryl. They sent me home with a weeks worth of steroids. Mind you this was just half a dose. This next time will be the full dose. Fingers crossed my body agrees and behaves this time. Love and hugs people. #wegotthismsheros 😉
