Starting DMT
So I’ve had my appointment with my Neurologist over the phone I’m going to start Beta interferon injections to start. I have a appointment for blood tests and to be shown how to inject myself . Hopefully things will move forward Well. It’s been a really hard few months as my brother was taken into hospital with a bad knee we found out he had cancer. So we thought about how we would get him though this then he got COVID 19 and he got over it amazing. We had a call saying he was very ill again and I went into be with him and he passed away with me and my sister. The world is really crazy at the moment. Stay safe be kind
Aw , @clune_ems , I am so sorry to read about your brother and the torturous end to his journey. It shouldn't be like that. But, it's over now, so no more pain, and you are left with your memories. Enjoy and keep the good ones, park any bad memories in the bin. It's probably been a tough journey for you to get to this point. But, a diagnosis and a treatment plan are a good way forward.I would question your diagnosis of Primary Progressive MS (PPMS) as the only approved treatment is Ocrevus. Beta Interferon would be a waste of time, although it is marginally effective for Relapsing Remitting MS (RRMS). We're all here to help, support or just to say Hi and sorry............
@stumbler Thank you I will talk to my consultant about it . When I spoke to her she was worried about starting treatment because of the COVID I think that’s why she wanted to start on this treatment. I have the scattering the 30 th of this month I’m putting him to rest with our mum and dad I know that he’s a peace now. I’m booking a holiday with my other brother so we can all get together and celebrate Richards life. Stay safe be kind xxx
