Latest MRI results - good, bad, indifferent?

Just got a letter from my consultant about my most recent MRI, which I had in May this year. They have compared it with the scan I had in September 2020 after my most recent relapse, even though I had another scan in Jan 21. Anyway, here's what they say: "There are 2 new supratentorial lesions. No evidence of PML. More prominent changes in the left optic nerve. Since you started Tecfidera in July 2021 and the previous scan was done while you were not on treatment, we cannot date the new lesions. We would not change treatment as will consider this MRI as a re-baseline for comparison with next year MRI." So, is this good? Bad? Indifferent? I remember the consultant saying there were a couple of new lesions on the Jan 21 scan, so I don't know if those are the same ones, and don't understand why they haven't included that scan in the comparison too. The optic nerve thing concerns me but there's no further explanation, and I haven't had any eye issues (and also had a sight test and optic nerve scan at Specsavers last summer). I don't think I've had any particular new symptoms and am generally doing well, so I guess that's good? I would have just liked some kind of sign that the treatment is working and I'm not getting any worse. I do worry about whether there is 'smouldering MS' going on underneath everything, but I guess that doesn't show up on an MRI anyway. Meh.

I had an MRI on Sunday and I'm trying not to think about what the results may or may not be. I have had symptoms recently but whether that's down to covid or the heat who's to say. I absolutely understand wanting some reassurance your treatment is working, that's how I feel too. I take solace in the fact that I Googled how much it costs to give the treatment I'm on and think the NHS wouldn't be bothering if it didn't work! Also, it's never been as bad since my diagnosis in November than the vision problems I had this time last year that started all this. I'm sorry I don't have any real advice to give. But I do understand and I'm in the same boat (or almost, I haven't got the results yet.)

Thanks @ShadowCat3500 . I agree the heat makes it hard to even think straight at the moment, and I've been moving house and doing a lot of hard manual labour sorting out the garden which has made me feel a bit 'blurgh'. Also I struggle to exercise in this heat, which is something I find really important for my physical and mental health, and also the heat makes me really swollen and bloated - I just feel like a big sweaty sausage right now. I guess we just have to keep plodding on and doing our best, right?
