Neuropathic pain

Who here suffers from it? Personally, i's driving me wild. I have it in my hands and feet and legs. I feel lost in trying to deal with it. Nothing abates the suffering, as I can't have Amytriptiline because it would mess up my treatment for depression. The pain is preferable to the feeling of depression, but it makes me feel like a war is going on and I'm losing the battle. At times, even pressing a key on my 'puter is painful, let alone taking a step in the morning. The first steps of the day are punishing, feeling like my feet have been lashed with a cat-of-nine tails. They're also tingling with pins and needles, as is quite common with us. How do you cope?

Pete amitriptyline is also used for depression, usually at slightly higher doses than the 10-20mg used for neuro pain. Could be a winner all round as you'd get the two for one effect. Of course this this is just friendly advice, you'll need to get it validated via your neuro/gp/nurse. Only prob being the tiredness, you'd prob need something like modafanil to counter that. Your ms nurse should already know of modafanil as it's quite effective as a fatigue counter apparently.

I've realised that the Vit D tabs I've been taking haven't been working and have switched back to my prescribed ones and things are improving a bit. I can't take amitryptiline as I'm on Moclobomide for depression and they clash.
