Trekking with MS

Dx 2011, 40yr old, RRMS An incredible opportunity has come up for me: trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal this spring. I've had MS Clinic appointments over the last few months, one of which was today with my physiatrist. I have a referral in place to get Botox to help with drop foot on my left but....we don't know how long it will take for me to get in for it. My understanding is that once I have Botox, I'd get fitted with an AFO. This is all fine and good but the trek opportunity is this April. I wondered if anyone here has gone trekking with MS? It's a big bucket list item I would be over the moon to cross off my list but could really stand to hear from others who have gone on similar adventures. I know I'd be slow, definitely. I just wonder if I should wait to do it in the fall or next spring while I sort out the foot drop and AFO bits. Part of me says wait but another part says to just go and give it my best. Drop foot and spasms in my left leg are among my greatest challenges. I have done a fair bit of day hiking and love doing it but also find I need a day of rest afterwards. The Annapurna Circuit is multi day and wouldn't be using a guide so as to have more freedom on the timeline to complete it (if I need a day I can have it and not worry about inconveniencing a guide/porter). So again, has anyone been trekking with MS? Thoughts?
@Gryffindorgrl

I haven't been trekking just yet, but I really hope to do some soon. My husband has done the Annapurna Circuit before and I could ask him if you want any more info about that place and get back to you if you'd like. I hope you have a great trip!

@Gryffindorgrl that would be amazing! I don't have ppl in my circle who have done it so chatting with someone who has would be fantastic!
