Greiving the old me

Prior to my diagnosis, I was a dog walker. I walked hours and hours Monday to Friday and did it with such ease. I feel like a lot of the time, I am in denial about the fact I have this illness and I just can't do the things I used to do. Today was one of those days so I decided to go for a walk. 5 minutes in and I could no longer lift my feet off the floor but I was with a group and felt a bit daft so continued trying to keep up, dragging my feet behind me. I'm now home after doing 7600 steps (with a LOT of stops). That's SO MANY STEPS for me these days and on one hand I'm dead proud of myself but I feel so rubbish now and like I won't be able to move from my sofa for a few days. I'm sad. Wondering if a walking stick might help. I feel too young to need a walking stick. Grieving the old me, massively today. Sorry for the negativity, I don't know who I can chat to who will understand.

So here's what you're gonna do you're gonna grab your teeth and you're gonna get back to work cause you're gonna beat this you're not too young for a walking STI would recommend getting one and if you ever wanna talk talk to me. I've had more than a few years at this.(9). And still very young We have days like this and we mean each other to speak on each other's behalf to call me children to lift each other up.
