I’ve been doing well on Avonex but I am now in a relapse and I don’t know if it’s a stress driven relapse or an actual new lesion relapse they are offering me steroids but I’m reluctant because if it’s not an organic issue I don’t want strong steroids how do I know the difference?
If you’re being offered steroids it’s a relapse. Avonex is not an highly effective drug and it will offer the weakest protection against further relapses. Hope you start to recover and get some better DMT.
Be led by the medical experts and follow their lead. If you are having a relapse the longer it's active the more damage. Get those steroids I say. A few restless nights is a small penalty to pay
