WOW petition

please sign this petition i think it's important http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/43154 ; i think it's important for the government to tell us how much it costs to police and remove the benefits from people who need them link to a horrific story of how atos can make a brain damaged man's life a living hell http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2013/jan/04/disability-claimants-work-assessments-atos there's also a piece written by a gp condemning those working for atos pointing out that the medical profession vow to 'do no harm'

Likewise. The worst story I heard was on the Benefits and Work website. A claimant had missed his appointment with his assessors because he was in hospital. In fact, he was in a coma. On opening his mail at home, his wife realised what had happened and rang them, to be told she'd have to fill in a form and explain the situation. This she did and got the reply that the reason given for his non-attendance was inadequate and that as a consequence all his benefits had been stopped. The trouble is, this type of story makes the paperrs less often than when the 'scroungers' and 'fraudsters' hit the headlines.
