Mobility aids… wheelchairs / walkers?
I barely leave the house since diagnosed in June.. I have relapsed since then.. causing both my legs to be numb, including perianal areas. I cannot even just sit or lay down without being in pain.. so standing / walking even around my house is very difficult.. I have a holiday booked very soon which was booked before this diagnosis.. I am so scared because I am probably going to need an aid where I can sit where possible.. please recommend any. I’m also so embarrassed at the thought.. as I’m not elderly and I don’t feel disabled as it was such a recent out sudden diagnosis.. I don’t think it’s properly sunk in.. feeling lost ☹️
Hi, I can totally recommend a Rollz Motion 2. It works well as a walker and converts quickly into a transport chair for someone to push when required. I travelled with mine earlier this year and it’s now become a regular thing for at home. im sure there are other options out there but I’ve only ever used one of these over the past 6 months. they look good and are marketed for younger people too. At the same time, don’t worry what other people are thinking, get out and do what you want to do. All the best
I got mine from here as it was the cheapest I could find. https://glebehealthcare.co.uk/products/rollz-motion-combined-rollator-and-wheelchair?variant=39447379771494&_pos=1&_sid=655164220&_ss=r
