Tysabri to Lemtrada - improvements?

So I've been on Tysabri for about 2.5 years, and recently tested JV+ so my doctor is switching me to Lemtrada in December. I was diagnosed with MS back in 2010, and my MS has been stable on MRIs for the last 2.5 years while being on Tysabri. There are still only a few people who know I have MS, and I show no visible symptoms of having it(run 2+ miles per day and play basketball with daily weightlifting) . Although I'm very thankful for my current state(I fully realize that it could be a lot worse), there are two major issues that persist and can be quite problematic. 1. While it has it's ups and downs, my ability to hold a quality intelligent conversation is significantly worse than it was pre-diagnosis. I have lost a certain element of mental "sharpness" or "thoughtfulness" that I used to have. 2. This happens more often after I've had a few alcoholic drinks than not, but my ability to GET an erection(can usually maintain it once it arrives), as well as having an orgasm while having sex is compromised and takes a lot more effort. I'm a 31 year old single guy, so a decreased ability to converse harms me in both dating and the working world. And it always makes for an awkward experience when I cannot get an erection, given that girls don't expect a 31 year old guy to have those types of issues. So I'm wondering, has anyone seen improvements in these areas after switching over to Lemtrada? Obviously I'd still be content with maintaining my current situation, but hearing stories of people improving cognitively while on Lemtrada gives me hope for my life to essentially return to normal. Thanks for your help.

Hi thematador, I can't really comment on part of your issue here, but I was hoping someone may have commented on moving from Tysabri to Lemtrada, that's the journey I'm on, due to start Lemtrada on Feb after a number of years on Tysabri and doing very well! But as I'm Jc pos I had to cone off! I will say one thing though, if you meet the right person, any personal Troubles you have will be understood and you'll be supported through them, if it's something a bit briefer you are after and it happens, just blame it on alcohol!

@KoffeeLover

@thematador @gates1989 no experience in any of the issues under discussion (???) but I'd be interested to hear in the future how changing to Lemtrada goes!! I'm currently on Tysabri (2 months so far) , but the second I show JCV+ I'm straight off Tysabri and on to Lemtrada!!!!! PML scares the s*** out of me!!!!
