MS treatment vs Covid Vaccine

Hi all! Hoping gather some input as doctors all say there is not enough data to share with us. My wife has been taking tecfidera for the past 5+years and is working great with the right diet and exercise. Doctors have been pushing her to switch to a once/ twice a year. infusions. As she had a few growths on the last scan she decided to do the switch and since she would already need to be off tecfidera for a 2 weeks she might as well get vaccinated for covid before starting the infusions and be off of Ms treatment for 4 weeks. It has been less than a week and all her MS symptoms are back (blurred vision, vertigo, loss of feeling ECT). It is at the point where she is going to skip the covid Vaccine and try and get the infusion started asap. Has anyone else been able to go off your medication to get vaccinated? Are doctors suggesting one way or another? If so what is the waiting time to be off the MS treatment to get vaccinated? (Our docs gave different suggestions. 2 weeks vs 4 weeks) Really any advice on any of this is helpful. She is too strong willed to share how much this is effecting her daily life and just want to be of some help.
