Ms Nurse and Nurelogist problems
I am a MS Sufferer of whom been diagnosed for over 10 years as some of my fellow warriors of whom gave me some sound advice advice bless you all . I have been noticing some alarming patterns with my MS team firstly I don't think I have a MS team the reason I feel that is because the do not respond what so ever to phone messages ok granted I am aware they are busy but to wait for nearly 6 weeks if I have a issue for a call back is that right. Secondly my neurogist proclaims that she still needs to sit down with other people to discuss my treatment this has been going on for nearly 4 years does this time really need to be this long to discuss the best treatment for myself only I personally feel that I can't rely on no one as be Frank me trying to call them with my issues could be a waste of time if I am experiencing a problem as they seem very to be very unreliable as I said I know they they are busy mind but the time frame does make one wonder a little . Has any one of you fellow warriors experienced these issues from your MS Team ?
@Snakeeyes If this was me, I would be looking elsewhere. Ask your GP to refer to you another neurologist, and/or hospital. I get annoyed when people use the excuse of being "busy". You are the patient, and they should be "busy" looking after you. Make a fuss, write to PALS at the hospital where your MS are located, go elsewhere. They should be replying to you within a week. Your neurologist shouldn't be delaying your treatment. Staffing issues are not your problem.
From one ms warrior to another I myself was first diagnosed over 14 years ago. The last time I seen my Neurologist was in March 2000 when I was diagnosed. From the day of being diagnosed the support was good but as the years have past it has dwindled.
