Possible MS symptoms?

Hi all, First time posting here, hoping you can offer some experience/advice please. I'm experiencing a lot of pain in my neck/arms which feels like a pinched nerve, it almost feels like a tight band is wrapped round my forearm. For nearly two months I have suffered almost constant pins and needles in my left hand and right foot. With intermittent tingling in a specific patch on my upper back. I also get tingling in my scalp and some areas of my face and occasional shooting pain down my spine. I experience incredibly hot itchy feet from time to time but only at night. It becomes unbearable that I have to run cold water over them. I also get hot itchy palms from time to time too. The doctors thought it was a B12 deficiency but all my bloods have come back clear. I'm waiting on a MRI results for c-spine which I'm hoping will shed some light on what's happening. No one has suggested MS yet but I'm only at the start of investigating. The symptoms are becoming really uncomfortable and painful. I don't know how to try and help it. Does this sound like anyone else's experience? Can you offer any tips on how to feel more comfortable? Any advice greatly appreciated! Thank you

Hello. I’m sorry you are experiencing a cluster of discomfort! I am no doctor, but it sounds neurological to me. I can relate to the pins and needles in hands, tingling in face and scalp and red feet and palms (always flaring simultaneously). I do have warm sensation in my lower legs which occurs ‘only at night’ —-not sure what that is all about. Anyway, I’m glad you already had your MRI and hope that it helps your physicians pinpoint the cause of your issues. There are a lot of autoimmune issues that can cause these symptoms too. If you do have MS, this is a good place to chat and learn from others. Know that there are medications that treat neuropathic pain. For example, I take Lyrica and Cymbalta.

Thank you for your reply. Reassuring to know there are treatments available and lots of support. Symptoms feel to be worsening, I've got such a heavy/numb feeling in my left arm with the tingling. It feels quite shaky and weak. And the recurring patches of tingling elsewhere on my body are in the same place consistently. I've got numb feeling in toes now too where the tingling also is and having lots of small electric shock type sensations down my spine. I've also noticed and recall for a few weeks/months that I often struggle to recall information/words for things. I always put this down to being busy but wonder if it's related. Still waiting on the MRI results so will see what happens from there. Thanks for your support
