Hiiii newly diagnosed.. any Londoners out there?!

Hi all, I'm new to all of this.. Im 19 and have Recently been diagnosed with early signs if MS (lumber puncture came back positive along with legions on brain mri and all those lovely ms symptoms) - I hope you can sense my sarcasm lol! Kind of struggling to come to terms with it all if I'm honest! Seems so much to take in especially as friends and family can only sympathise rather than empathise if that makes sense? So that kinda drives me crazy and just makes me feel so Angry and alone! Anyways rant over.. Anyone in London or Hertfordshire ends?! Would be nice to meet people going through the same as myself Rosie :)
@Stumbler

Hi Rosie, we can understand exactly how you're feeling. The only people who can understand you and your MS are people who have MS! So, you've come to the right place. You must have a shedload of questions going through your mind, so get asking. The forum membership covers a lot of young people from those struggling to get a diagnosis through all forms of the condition. Oh, and there are some of us more refined, mature types. Otherwise referred to as old fogeys. :lol: Anyway, the Forum also contains "groups" of members who have shared interests. I think this group of members might be who you are looking for:- https://shift.ms/groups/ms-london/ So, have a look around the forum and ask any questions and you'll get answers from people who understand and know. :)

@highheeledfagin

Hi there and welcome to shift. I live in North London. I'm 29, now, but was diagnosed at 18/19 so I understand what it's like to basically grow up having MS. It's difficult and, though people mean well, it can be very isolating, but times have changed and I can really only imagine what a difference having forums like this can make. I hope you find some help here.
