Anxiety and learning to drive

I was diagnosed with MS a few months ago. I have been feeling less independent as i have weakness in my left leg. Can’t even make it down the street without the gravity pulling me down to the floor🙄 I want to learn to drive ( automatic) and my doctors have said I am fit to drive however I am feeling very anxious to do it. Any advice?

I have been ms sufferer for 20 years I drive as if not I struggle to walk more than 15 feet I can manage it but takes ages to recover. Very disappointing

I say go for it, driving provides a bit of freedom, I went from driving a manual to then a automatic and then 2 years ago sat the terrifying experience of sitting my test with hand controls but I look back now and know it was worth it to have my wav and be able to get out and about independently.
