I haven't posted since last year, as I got Covid Pneumonia (Delta Variant) in October of 2021. There were times my family and I didn't think I'd make it. It came with severe fevers which, of course, triggered MS symptoms. It was so bad that I couldn't feed myself or even sit up on my own. Many times I was incoherent nor could I understand others. It's been 5 months. As soon as the fevers stopped (which lasted from Oct.21- Feb.22) I started being able to walk with supports. I still have residual issues from Covid, but MS is starting to 'normalize' to where it was pre-covid. Pulmonary rehab is helping me with walking again as well. My neurologist believes being on Ocrevus made it worse; as I had an infusion right before getting sick. Since I've experienced almost every single Covid symptom 10 times the level as many others, my neurologist sent my blood to be in an MS/Covid study at the Mayo Clinic. He also is switching me to a non-immunosuppressant DMT, Vumerity. If anyone else has had experience with this med, I'd love to hear from you!
