Exhausted

Last week we decorated and I found it all very stressful I am exhausted and feel drained and washed out. After my weekly injection I spent the following day stripping wallpaper and sanding skirting boards and think I may have overworked myself I can’t seem to catch up even though I’m sleeping quite well. I feel like I have tiredness from flu even though I don’t have flu Does anybody be out there have any suggestions as to how I can get some energy back. Im eating healthily but don’t want to restrict myself from eating some things NHS that are dairy.

You sound like you are over doing it. I have chronic fatigue, feeling wiped out all the time. I rest , then do a few things then rest and repeat. Your projects sound like a lot of fun. But once you over do things to much then you have to rest alot longer. I just do little at a time. I drink 1 cup of coffee in morning to get the oomph I need to get started. Good luck with your projects.

Be gentle with yourself. I'm terrible at remembering to rest in between bouts of work and then i exhaust myself and it takes days to recover. I'm slowly learning my "warning signs" (a tingly nose, thighs that feel like sandbags). Look out for your warning signs, rest when you can. Some people find a short nap, or just resting on your bed, helps. Some people find meditation helps. Some people find stretching exercises help. Keep healthy eating. I find some herbal teas wake me up and rejuvenate me (simply because I like the taste). I hope you feel better soon
