Wondering 🤷‍♀️

Hi all!! Just a question I’m feeling awful at the moment and all new to ms, haven’t started treatment yet as, still don’t know what ms I have , I see my neurologist on the 25th april, I’m absolutely shattered, my vision is rough, can’t walk properly and tingling in my arms, is this what you call an ms relapse? I have some of these symptoms most of the time normally just my balance is bad, when you start treatment do these symptoms go away? X

@Joparrott1978 Hi and welcome to the club 🙂 DMTs are to stop you from getting worse. Some symptoms can come and go. Some stay for ever.. trouble is we're all different but have the same disease. That's why it takes a while to diagnose it. Ask anything you like you'll find an answer on here. Welcome again.

Yes, it certainly sounds like an MS relapse. I've tried many disease modifying agents and right now I'm using Copaxone, a 3x a week injection. It has worked the best for me. 22 years ago I thought I would always have vertigo and the numbness and tingling all through my body. I even had a week of being paralyzed on my left side and I didn't know if feeling would ever come back and I was terrified. Now I know that treatment helps to keep symptoms at bay. I even work full time again after not being able to work for 10 years. So have hope, things will get better. Also, you may need a steroid treatment if you're having an active relapse right now. Beware of mood swings if you get the methylprednisolone in an IV. I have to take a mood stabilizer when i get that treatment. Best of luck to you, i hope this helps.
