Doctors are ignoring me

I have been suffering for a while now with various symptoms, mostly which have come and gone. Currently I keep getting optical migraines- not painful just a multiple zigzagging circle of colours, pain and weakness in my legs and knees, feeling lime theyre going to buckle. Headaches shooting from my neck up, pons and needles in my feet and stabbing pin pricky feeling in arms buttocks and legs.and now have back ache. My memory is shot to shit and I forget everything to the point people joke I have dementia 6 months ago I had a very weird tingly face and lips. Each time I go to my gp its written off as diabetic neuropathy, being over weight, stress and anxiety, perimenapause etc etc. Iv suggested ms, explaining im always tired, even my gait has changed bit they ignore me. I explained my mum, uncle, cousin, mums aunt and cousin plus other more distant family members have had or current have ms. I dont want to push it because I think they believe I'm a hypochondriac, but I'm really worried. What can I do for them to take me seriously? Tia
@ChiMum

I think that the only thing that you can do is go back to your gp and push them ti refer you for an MRI. If that shows up lesions then they have to think about going down the MS route. It sounds like you have had a frustrating time so far

@Warlock

That is why I gave up with doctors and neurosurgeons... I found that practically all of my health issues are related to Ms.. after doing a lot of research and speaking to people who have MS.. because your body is full of nerves and the mylins gone weird it causes all sorts of signals to do all sorts of strange things... I was actually called a hypochondriac by a doctor who examined me and said there was nothing wrong with me and then two years later I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis I have been suffering ever since I was a child I'm now 63 and believe you me that doctors have no clue or no idea what they're on about when it comes to Ms.. I found the doctors the neurosurgeons the Ms nurses all of them to be inept up their jobs they never good give good advice.. so yeah you're not alone I have been struggling with the doctors for over 40 plus years and they're still just as useless as the first time I went to see them... The problem being multiple sclerosis is a very complex disease indeed.. I have had cameras shoved everywhere I have had things done to me that no person should have had done by the medical profession only to find out everything was MS.. still don't worry because you've probably know more about what's wrong with you than the doctors will ever know still you have a fantastic day and it appears I'm ranting slightly never mind haha
