Frustrating appointment

Neuro appointment (1st year review) sucked. Basically had more blood work and need another MRI then they will decide if I have to change my meds to something stronger. Got told to talk to GP about pain meds and be less stressed... I'm a teacher... It's a bit tough not to be stressed. Any tips?

Ugh, that’s so frustrating. I’m sorry. :( I think, however, as teachers we expect more than we’ll get. I’m also a teacher and had a very frustrating series of appointments. Those first appointments are literally check in’s. Summative assessments to see what adjustments need to be made before planning unit 2. (If you don’t mind the analogy. Lol.) As a teacher, I had to let things go. My room is not pristine and perfectly organized like it used to be. I use my students for help and build in routines that they can really do on their own (scaffolding more and slowing down helped). I also take a rest day about once a month. This year I was able to get through October and December without taking any days off. In my second year of my diagnosis, I felt like that was a celebration! Teaching is so freaking stressful, but letting students help me take over smaller aspects of my job (changing calendars, passing out papers, table group captains) all helped. I also would use a voice amplifier on my higher fatigue days. Talking all day is exhausting. use music for transitions, bells/sounds for attention getters…anything to take the strain off your body.
