Ocrevus first infusion experience

Hey all, just posting my experience with Ocrevus in hopes it will help better inform everyone. I've read how people felt great after their infusion but that had not been the case for me. My first infusion resulted in low blood pressure that the nurses at my infusion center did nothing about (they have a rule about no eating or drinking because of COVID) and I did not have a doctor's order for IV fluids. I nearly fainted the night after my infusion and had to call an ambulance to help get me off my floor. The adverse effects agent for Roche contacted me to submit a report. My second infusion ( 2 weeks later) gave me dizziness and nausea along with 3 solid days of crushing fatigue. I am now considering a switch to Kesimpta since it's a once-a-month injection and a smaller dose than Ocrevus with a similar mechanism of action. I was really hoping for a better experience. I am posting this so others can be prepared. I felt really down about my experience because I had high hopes and wanted for one positive thing to happen since my diagnosis. Getting on with it or coping doesn't come all that easy when you're still in the grieving phase of this diagnosis. Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry your first experience with Ocrevus was so difficult. Hopefully, you'll find a medicine that works better for you.

@RoxanaM

I'm sorry to her about your experience ... I was diagnosed last year in September and I had to choose between Ocrevus and Tysabri. I was close to choose Ocrevus as it is 2 infusions/ year ...but in last moment ..with help from shift .. I decided to go with Tysabri. Best decision I could make. Hope you'll find a treatment that suite you.
