After Tysabri

I was getting Tysabri for 3 years but had to stop due to jc positive. It scares me a little because Tysabri worked very good, so what now? Neurologist says to wait until Tysabri is out of my system and go from there. Is there a logic follow up after Tysabri? I was thinking Ocrevus? Something else I am very worried about is pml because my jc titter is high and I still have Tysabri in my body.

@Carola , Ocrevus is the logical follow-on, or, possibly Mavenclad. Three months seem to be the "washout" period for Tysabri, but you need to be cautious of the "Tysabri rebound", MS activity caused by stopping Tysabri. Sometimes, an interim treatment, e.g. Copaxone, is used to mitigate the risk of rebound, before you are able to commence the follow-on treatment. You should discuss this with your Neuro.

@Carola

Thanks so much. I know my neurologist want me on a DMT so I am reading a lot about the different medication and trying to prepare myself with questions for my neurologist, your input helps for sure.
