SPMS diagnosis changed to RRMS?

Hi everyone I was diagnosed with secondary progressive ms 33 years ago with slowly increasing levels of disease. After last MRI my neuro has advised after meeting with other neurologists that I have RRMS as two areas of active inflammation on MRI. Now started on Avonex with expected fatigue and flu like symptoms. Has anyone experienced a change in diagnosis after this length of time?

I'm taking Avonex shots and I had those symptoms like fatigue, flu, and sweating but only in the first 2 months

I haven’t but I have met a man who said his diagnosis was a mixture of secondary progressive and relapsing remitting MS. I hadn’t heard of that before. He was on Gilenya
