First time abroad since diagnosis...

Hey everyone. I was diagnosed October 2022 with extremely active rrms. I was given the choice of 3 medicines in which kesimpta seemed the right choice for me. However never though about if I travelled abroad....fast forward to today, I have a trip booked for Cyprus in June 2 days prior to my kesimpta injection. So wondering a couple of things.... 1. Could I take my injections a few days prior to leaving? 2. Will the sun affect my skin worse than it used to now I've been on kesimpta 14 months?(since it's a form of chemotherapy) 3. Any useful tips for travelling abroad with MS? Any advice will be greatly appreciated TIA. Have a great day everyone 😀

Hi, all good questions. I never even thought about how the sun might affect my skin 🙈 when I went on holiday. I went on a sunny holiday in October and took an injection with me. Airport security were brilliantly unbothered about it. I took along a letter from the pharmacy saying that I had ms and needed to travel with my meds. I just put the box in a cool bag with a frozen ice pack and it was all good 😊. The chemo/sun question is a good one to ask your nurse if you can. Enjoy the holiday when it gets here!

Not abroad but first time travelling with a Kesimpta injection out of the fridge! I was uncertain about “room temperature” when travelling or in a cheap hotel with no aircon and found a solution from insulin storage! https://friouk.com It was REALLY effective and gave me complete peace of mind (could still feel that it was cold 5 days later when I got back). Kesimpta pen fitted perfectly, VAT free and UK company too!
