The Ups and Downs of RRMS

Know that RRMS feels like literal hell when you are at the lowest point of a relapse. The good news though is that it is temporary and my experience is that you build back up to what is almost normal. I don’t know exactly what you are experiencing and what treatment options are being looked at. My treatment has a minimal impact on my life - essentially a day out to receive an IV infusion drug. the goal of that drug is to prevent future damages and relapses. It has been working WELL and I continue with “normal” life taking a bit of extra care on stairs and other places where balance is especially needed. IN other words MS flare up state IS NOT your forever life! You may live with a slightly altered new normal, but I see no reason you can not continue your education. i wonder if you could allow yourself the luxury of a reduced academic load but still make progress toward your goal. Ms may be a slowing down need vs a quitting need. Believe to yourself that you will get there and you are young enough that a slow down will not necessarily stop you! Ifi know anything about MS it is that it has made me more determined and more clear on what is important to me.
