Gabapentin

Hello :) I have a question regarding taking Gabapentin for spasticity. Recently I have been prescribed this medication for spasticity and tingling sensations in my legs. However, I am quite worried about the side affects. I checked the leaflet and there are quite a few of them. My question is: have you been taking this medication? is it effective? Is it worth taking it, in your opinion, despite the side effects (which I might or might not have )?

@agnieszka , all medications come with a list of potential/possible side-effects. Do you know that a recorded side-effect of a head ache tablet, is ............getting a headache! Every possibility, no matter how minuscule has to be documented, to avoid legal action! Gabapentin is one of the medications which is prescribed for neuropathic pain. @Nick-G

Hi I have been prescribed Gabapentin for similar reasons and apart from getting a bit more fatigue which I have been prescribed other medication to elevate these symptoms it works and my legs and hands are so much better. All meds have side effects but if you don't try then you will never know if it works for you. If you do get serious side effects your GP or MS Nurse will either prescribe something to combat the side effect or take you off and try something else.
