Sativex

Hi, I know I’m one of the lucky ones as I was prescribed sativex (medical cannabis) 3 weeks ago for my severe spacticity. I’ve had to slowly increase the dose every day until you find the right amount. My stiff legs do feel better for being on it so thankfully it’s now on repeat prescription. I had tried all the other drugs but I could not tolerate the side effects. I’m only the third person to be given this drug by my neuro and I believe a lot of it is down to a postcode lottery due to the cost but keep asking for a trial if you think it would help you.
Anyone else on sativex?

I can’t believe the cost of medical cannabis. I was reading of an epileptic child whose parents couldn’t afford the £1000 a month bill for their drug.
I’ve known a few heavy stoners in my time, but no one who could consume anywhere near £1000 a month. Is this just another example of the pharmaceutical companies money grabbing ways?
I’m happy to hear it working for you @lm24.
Lol @stumbler, I’m sure if you had a walk around your local town and stopped people smoking funny smelling fags, you’d soon get sorted

I started on medical cannabis in March, but I go to a dispensary. I’m stateside (Utah). It’s a huge game changer and costs about $50 usd a month for me on average. The stigma around use in some areas is ignorant. It helps me sleep at night and shifts the perception of pain to something far less unpleasant. I use oral sprays and topical ointments.
