Relapse or not?

Hi everyone!

I was diagnosed with RRMS on 26-11-19. I’m struggling to work out if I’m having a relapse or not.

For the past 3 weeks I’ve had dull pain behind my eyes. No vision loss, blurriness. Only dull pain. I had it back in April but was not diagnosed by this point. It’s not been constant and comes every now and then. I’ve been floored with a head cold for 10 days and feel really woozy and lethargic. Could this just be due to the fact that I’ve not been well/ not been in a routine over Xmas period/ eating and drinking rubbish/lack of restful sleep OR could it be a relapse?

I go on holiday on Monday and not sure where to turn?

Hope everyone had a peaceful Xmas and NY, wishing everyone health and happiness for 2020!

@lmac91 , welcome to the weird world of MS.

The fact that your body is dealing with a headcold would potentially activate your compromised immune system. This would interfere with any MS symptoms causing them to flare-up.

When you recover from your headcold, things should quieten back down.

Always refer to your MS Nurse in the first instance for any MS issues. They should be able to explain what’s happening and suggest the best way forward.

@stumbler

Thanks so much for your reply! I thought it would be the case when I took the cold thar symptoms would flare up.

I go on holiday on Monday for 12 days. Hopefully things settle down but if not then I’ll contact my MS nurse on my return.
