New York

My MS started in 1976 although at the time my then Doctor chose to tell my then husband and not me! I was told it was a form of vertigo so every time I had problems with my left leg I thought it was vertigo so ignored it. It wasn’t until 1996 in New York I had a massive relapse and spent the night in A&E. Upon my return to England I went to see my GP. He suspected MS sent me for a hearing test then a MRI the results of which showed the lesions of MS. Lumber puncture followed to confirm MS. Since then I’ve had the treatment I should have got in 1976. I wonder if I would have been as bad as I am now if I’d had my now treatment in 1976.
