Vumerity

I had a bad allergic reaction to copaxone and after a long convo with my neuro we decided on Vumerity next. However, in his office he said to make sure to eat fats with it. But, everything I find online is opposite. Anyone on this that can tell me what you find to help while taking it? Just trying to prepare.

Hi @rayrayjean. I think that is a similar drug to Tecfidera, in which case, for me anyway, I ate lots of everything with it, and never got the tummy aches. Peanut butter is a good one to have stores of

@rayrayjean , yes, Vumerity has biological activity similar to Tecfidera. To avoid gastric problems with Tecfidera, it is recommended to alway take the tablets with a meal containing fat AND protein. Hence why Peanut Butter is good. I can't see Vumerity being different.
