Is it normal to have a cold for this long?
Hello, I have ms and under treatment with ocrevus. I’ve just got a question. I was abroad recently on summer holiday and caught a cold. I had a fever was doing really poorly for two days and then started becoming better. However my horrible cough has stayed and I’m constantly brining up phlegm. The power of these coughs leave me feeling breathless, nauseous and even gives me migraines. Since this I have daily pain in parts of my body I only have when I’m flaring up or down with soemthing. Not to also mention my fatigue has been so much worse and I mean I’m falling asleep at work, school and even on public transport. It’s been 5 weeks now with this cough, is that normal? I’m not really sure what I should do as I’ve never had this before any advice?
Ocrelizumab is known for profoundly supressing your B cells. This renders you liable to contracting an infection and less able to fight it off when you do have one.
@DominicS thanks for your reply!! I knew about that but I’m just surprised because I’ve never had a cold this long before even with catching Covid and the flu a few times
