Posted my PIP via a tracked service but it's still not delivered!

Hi folks. Really need your help and reassurance with this as I am going to end up shooting over my second PIP extension date at this rate. So, after my last post on here about having spent weeks stressing myself out over completeing my PIP (postal version, not digital submission), I finally got around to posting it. It was collected from me at my door by a Royal Mail worker last Saturday (18th), and I had opted for the Tracked 24 service since this has worked well for me recently with something else, and you get a photo as proof of receipt/delivery. I was expecting that a 24-hour tracked service would mean my PIP would arrive by at least Tuesday as Saturday isn't a business day. However, it is now the following Saturday and it is still showing as "In Transit" status but sitting at the North West Mail Centre where it was received there on Monday. I'm feeling panicked as I had sent a big envelope containing years of my personal information and medical history unlike anything I have ever sent in the post before. I rang PIP on Thursday on the off-chance they might actually have it and that it maybe wasn't scanned as delivered on Royal Mail's system. They don't have it. I provided them with my tracking number as proof I had sent it, anyway. I then rang Royal Mail, and this is what I was told: I was told that, despite it being posted to the address provided with the PIP form, it is not actually sent to PIP but is waiting for someone from PIP to go and collect them due to it being a holding site. I was told there would be hundreds of other posted PIP forms with it and to check back this Saturday where I will find that it is likely to have been scanned and showing as delivered. Nope. Still not delivered. Has anyone else had this issue? Any long delays with a tracked service but it was delivered in the end? Feeling extremely worried.

Wondering if @BULLMAN has any insight into delays with tracked services in relation to posted PIP forms and whether the information I was told by Royal Mail about this being a holding site where someone from PIP has to physically go and fetch them as a bulk collection is correct...

@BULLMAN

@jellysheep The forms are scanned for the pip assessor to see online. They don’t see the original form.
