Coping with the heat

Hi I’m very new to this, this actually being my first time properly on the site not to mention posting. I know that lots of MSers suffer with extreme heat and I seem to be no exception. Walking to the top of the street can leave me looking like I’ve just got out of a swimming pool I’m literally dripping. I have a fan, wear the loosest of clothing but nothing is helping. I know everyone no matter if they have health problems or not is suffering but to me I feel like I’m the worst (I’m not normally so self-involved I promise). Does anyone have any and I mean any (am now at point I will consider anything) ideas for cooling down in public. It’s making me so self conscious about going out and with the summer holidays and 3 children spending all day in on sunny days is not really an option. Hope someone has some ideas and thank you in advance. Gemma x

I do lots of water play/going to the pool, plan outings for early morning or after dinner, and go to shady places. During the middle of day I take the kids to air conditioned places like museums. I’ve actually sat in the kiddie pool in the back yard with my kids to stay cool 😀. Oh and I always wear my hair up and wet - seems to help keep me just a little cooler.

Thank you both so much for replying. Think I’ll definitely take up the idea of taking over the kid’s paddling pool tomorrow x
