Campaign 'MS Must Stop' - lend your support, share the message

hi everyone, a new campaign to raise funds and awareness of MS starts in the UK on Monday 22 August. A helpful article in the business section of the Times newspaper alerted me - nothing about the campaign online yet! It is GO tomorrow.. Business leaders are the promoters - good on them - they've filmed short videos holding up their index finger with 'MS' written on it. Then unfurling the other fingers on the hand to reveal the words 'must' 'stop'. It's aim is to raise £50 million for MS research It seems a good opportunity for us all to raise much needed awareness of our terminal disease, as well as funds to help stop it. If you could lend a hand by thanking those promoting it by retweeting, liking, sharing, socialising the message or videos across all social media platforms, with other business leaders and celebs and influencers, it will help us all.. our disease is taboo and largely unknown to non sufferers or their families .. lets not pretend otherwise! We've a way to go before we're able to say 'I have Multiple Sclerosis' and expect people to respond with any knowledge of what it is and how cruel it is to sufferers both mentally and physically. Guess it's still one of those scary diseases because it can take anyone of us at any time regardless of health or age. Although so many of us will not tell anyone beyond immediate family we have MS often for fear of stigma, bias discrimination and so much else.. Lets shout support and offer encouragement from the sidelines where we can to this campaign and all those helping us, it would be fab.. we need this help and they are making it happen for us. Business leaders mentioned in the article who have made videos are Sharon White - Chairwoman, John Lewis Carolyn McCall - Chief Executive, ITV Phillip Jansenn - Chief Executive, BT Mark Wood - Chairman of Prudential (former) and other PLC's Lets pull this thing out into the light to help others get diagnosis and better treatment as well as ourselves to stop once and for all this insatiable, invisible disease!
