Due to start ocrevus infusions, feeling very anxious :-(

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing well. I just got my start date for ocrevus infusions. I was previously on tecfidera but due to recent flares of old symptoms my neurologist wanted me to switch to ocrevus/kesimpta. I opted for ocrevus as I hate the idea of needles. Now that I have my start date for the infusions I'm terrified, my anxiety is through the roof. What kind of side effects have any of you on ocrevus experienced? Thanks in advance :-)
@Paddy

Hi I started ocrevus in January in two batches and yes if was scary I will have my next in August. Side effects for me were a headache and a flushed face which only lasted a day. Worth the mild discomfort to slow down progression for me. Good luck and try to stay stay positive. ❤️

I will have my 10th full infusion this June. I have no side effects in my day to day life. I have had infusion reactions although fewer and fewer as I’ve gone along. reactions mostly an itchy throat or face. I always let the nurse know. pausing the infusion for a short time, slowing the speed, and re-dosing Benadryl have all been strategies over the years. I’m usually tired the next day and take it easy. I take Benadryl the next day also if I had reactions during. usually flushed from the steroids the next day. I haven’t had any new lesions or relapses since starting. when is your infusion? sending good thoughts your way. the nurses will take good care of you.
