Cognitive issues

I have a lot of problems with my short term memory, it's like I can't recall any information I learn until months later when it's no longer relevant. It's far too intense to be any of the other issues I'm aware I have so I suspect it's related to my chronic problems and falls in line with the recent progression of my symptoms which I think may be ms, it's not like forgetting where I placed the tv remote, I'm missing the entirety of my education from my memory, the things my friends have told me, etc. I forget things immediately after they're said but the information does go in because I can remember it several months afterwards so I suspect it's a recoil issue. It is far worse for visual information versus audio information. Does anyone else deal with this? Is there anything else this could be? Any advice?

Ask to assessed by a Clinical Psychologist. I was referred by my MS nurse as I was worried about my memory and cognitive skills. I had to complete a series of tests over 2 days and indeed they found I had problems with selective attention and working memory. I was relieved it wasn't early onset dementia.
