MS and pregnancy - stopping ocrevus

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with stopping medication in order to have a baby. Currently I take ocrevus, which has worked well for me but unfortunately you have to abstain for at least 12 months before trying for a baby and it’s not suitable to use whilst pregnant or breastfeeding, so my current predicament is that I’ll have to stop it, and potentially start something else. I do feel apprehensive about stopping medication altogether but I also don’t really want to take copaxone or tysabri - which my MS nurse informs me are safe to use whilst trying to conceive. My MS is well controlled and not incredibly active to my knowledge - I work full time as a nurse myself - but I just feel nervous about taking nothing although they have assured me I’ll be monitored. I also do follow overcoming ms but I’m a bit worried that my condition is at least in part well controlled because I’m taking a strong medication. If anyone has any experience or advice I’d be really grateful, feeling quite confused about the best thing to do! Thanks so much for reading, Victoria xx

@Victoria-x , you deserve a response, although being male, I can't fully appreciate the position. But, you have to identify the order in which you place your priorities. My advice is always to follow your heart. Taking that course should make you happiest and happy people are less prone to the ravages of MS. Good luck and enjoy making a baby.
