Flat week, dizziness really affecting me 😢

Hi all, I’m awaiting MS diagnosis, MRI showed very likely signs according to the neurologist, waiting for result of lumbar puncture which had me in hospital most of last week. Medical board meet May 8th to discuss my case and decide on treatment. The issue I have is dizziness, I’ve had it since October, it’s getting worse and is now constant, not occasional. I feel like it’s something to do with my eyes that’s causing it, when I close my left eye it’s worse than when I close my right? Obviously can’t walk round with one eye shut! It’s fairly debilitating, I’ve withdrawn a bit, I’m working full time from home but I’m struggling with concentration, decision making, clear thought. Looking for tips for the dizziness please if anyone has any? I have some vestibular physio lined up for a few weeks time but anything I can be doing in the meantime, I’m taking beta histamine but after 3 months of taking it it doesn't seem to help? This off load helps to be honest, so thanks for listening!

Hi VickyD. Firstly, I hope your diagnosis goes smoothly and you can find the right treatment for you. Balance and dizziness affects me badly, although I rarely have vision problems, when I do, it can be one sided (mostly my left). Dizziness I find is helped by pre moving my lower body before I stand up (move my ankles, then knees, then hips, stand, rebalance for several moments, then walk). I "finger walk" around the house (lightly rest my fingertips on walls) and use my cane when I walk outside. 2 years ago I was running 5k weekly & now can walk 5k on a good day or 1k on a bad day. Be gentle with yourself and good luck in your journey.
