This is me
Hallo everyone
I just want to introduce myself, I am Vanessa 50 years old and live in South Africa with my daughter and dogs.
These last few weeks have been horrible ! Tremendous pain, extreme fatigue, my legs and arms go numb so I have to wait before I can just stand up and walk. I cannot remember the words I want to use, I have terrible headaches and I feel so uncomfortable in my own body that I just want to die. Make it all end...
I have seen quite a few doctors and specialists over the years but the closest they could come to diagnose me was with Fibromyalgia.
I have completed a questionnaire I have seen online for chronic pain and this MS popped up. I have read and listened to a lot of doctors and specialists and my goodness !
These are all the symptoms I have
I need to find out more about MS and if I'm right, get to the right specialist to help me

Hi @Vannessa That sounds overwhelming - my days feel a lot like you describe - I have primary progressive MS + Fibromyalgia and it's definitely intense. What helped me while I was not diagnosed yet ( advice from my cousin who is a GP) was to avoid reading about it online - every body is different and it can make things seem even worse. Focus instead on getting to see a Neurologist and get an MRI to test what's going with you - they are the only ones who can actually diagnose MS even if other medical professionals may suspect it. Hang in there in the mean time - the road to diagnosis can be long but I'll DM you some useful resources for the stage where you are now. Take good care x
