Treatment
Diagnosed May 2020 - 3 MRIs since with no new lesions….good news on one hand yes but I am keen to start treatment ASAP for PPMS. In time I have been told it will be Ocrevus however I will not have another MRI until near the end of 2022!! All I do is load myself with Baclofen as my neurologist has advised that my MS has burnt itself for now!! I am lost & confused but what can I do? 🤷🏼♂️😕
@Si2020 I'm sorry I don't have any advice but I wanted to respond as I had a similar conversation with my Neurologist a couple of weeks ago that left me confused too. I've had 3 MRI's the first showed lesions on brain and c spine confirming dissemination in space but not time and no active lesions. Neurologist said they could be months or several years old. My 2nd MRIs showed no changes and my Lumber puncture last year was negative. I've had a further 3rd MRI but not had my results yet . Neurologist isn't expecting any new lesions to appear and always refers to my age ! I'm 58 not 85 ! and he said he thinks my MS has burned itself out ! I've had symptoms for a number of years and they have not gone away. No DMTs for me just trying to manage Neuropathic pain and fatigue I'm on Nortryptaline. My next appointment with him is in 12mths time and I remain in limbo. I've decided to try to take it as a positive comment as he mustn't be concerned 😬 Take care and I hope you get the help you need x
