Do symptoms come and go

Hello 👋 I have been told its likely I have multiple sclerosis this is due to MRI scan showing 1 lesion and optic neuritis with evidence of inflammation in my optic neve and results of a lumber puncture and other relevent illnesses have been ruled out. I have a 6-8 week wait to see a nurologist that specialises in MS Yes .... I have done some research from some from reputable sites and some from not soo good so my head is fried!! 🤯 I'm just curious now on how it impacts other people daily. I know it's called the snow flake disease cause everyone is different however I have had pain and weird sensations. 1. I get it's hip pain when walking my legs don't work properly and I feel like I'm shuffeling my feet like I'm skating with weights on my feet this gets worse in the heat. 2. Termors and convulsion movements where I feel like I can feel my blood running cold and a buzzing/vibration feeling from my toes to the top of my head. 3. Had to get lifted out the bath one night kept trying to stand up and kept just falling my legs juat wouldn't work. All last a few hours but not more than 24 hours. Is this normal if you have MS? I have fatigue, brain fog, balance and coordination issues often too but lasted ages. Dose this ease with medication? Cause I feel rubbish and uve tried energy drinks and they make me feel better for 30 mins then the tremors kick in 😤

@Shelby Hi and welcome to the club. No one on here will ever call you a snowflake... All the symptoms you have described most people on here will have suffered from at one time or another. Drinking energy drinks might make things worse I used to drink loads of them but my Dr told me ditch them your kinda burning the candle at both ends. All things in moderation.. This link might explain things better than hope it helps. https://mstrust.org.uk/a-z

You are very normal. Yes, the problems come and go, but some stick around for a while and some never leave, it's just that the intensity changes. Heat is very bad for many of us. I have to stay out of direct sunlight on hot days and spend much of time in front of fans and air conditioners. Getting hot at any time causes extreme weakness, pain, and confusion. I gave up baths years ago because the heat from soaking just made everything so much worse. If you're in the midst of a relapse, there may be some medications that will help with your current symptoms. The DMT's that they will ultimately suggest (if you are confirmed to have MS) are designed just to limit future relapses. They won't fix what's currently wrong with you.
