Travel with MS

Hi guys! One of my best friends lives in Hong Kong and last year I booked a ticket to go see her for this coming march, I have had a rough time with my ms recently and although I am starting to feel much more mobile & stable I am petrified to go. I experience really bad numbness in my legs at times & I can’t help but feel scared & fearful this will be a problem when I’m there and hold me back…. I’m in two minds to cancel but I really really want to go while I still can! Does anyone have any advice or any tips/ tricks when travelling? Thanks x

@Shannonr97 May I suggest you do a quick search on this site as travel comes up on a regular basis. The MS charities also offer advice on travelling with MS. Make sure you have your travel insurance booked now, just in case you have to cancel. I travelled to Hong Kong last year and had no problems with getting around. Wasn't particularly comfortable on the flight but not much I could do about that. Hong Kong has a super underground, and plenty of other public transport options including cheap taxis. Be careful with any mobile devices (laptops, phones, tablets). The Chinese government are installing stuff on items so you may want to just take your phone and leave everything else at home. Enjoy your trip to Hong Kong.
