Travelling on a plane with DMTs
Hi all,
I've recently been diagnosed with rrms, and just about to start on Avonex.
Has anyone taken this medication on a plane with the cool bag, and did you have any problems.

Assuming Avonex in liquid form (auto-injector or pre-filled syringe), it can be out of the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Just be sure to keep it at room temperature and don't expose to extreme temps. I take Rebif (same molecule but good for 30 days out of the refrigerator) and travel with the auto-injectors all the time. I've never bothered with a cooling pack.
@sara_white I have flown with both Rebif and Copaxone. I never needed it but my nurse had given me a letter explaining what they were. It was never an issue. Definitely take it all in hand-luggage. Shouldn't be a problem.
